CaMILE - freeware - looks like a Macintosh version of HyperNews. Not what we need!.
MeepBoard - too simplistic - no access controls?
Ceilidh - threaded discussion - commercial
Caucus - expensive but very versatile
TopClass - commercial package for creating Web-based courses
CourseInfo - commercial - seems more suited to managing information about courses
Toolbook II (Librarian) - Asymetrix - Java-based, and therefore rejected.
Web-in-a-box - commercial courseware package - uses JavaScript.
